FAQ

Answers to some commons questions.

How do I install packages on Gryd?

Yes you can install packages in a non-persistent fashion. To install packages for Python 3, run:

!conda install [-c <repo_name>] --yes <package_name>

in a cell or the same command without the ! at the beginning in a terminal. To install packages for Python 2, run:

!conda install [-c <repo_name>] --name py27 --yes <package_name>

in a cell or the same command without the ! at the beginning in a terminal.

Do I have to install packages every time I sign in?

As of now, package installs are not persistent so users have to install packages each time they sign in. However, if there is enough demand for persistent package installs, we will consider adding such functionality in the future.

Can I run code on GPUs on Gryd?

Not yet. Once again, if there is enough demand for GPUs, we will add that support.
